This popular workshop provides students an avenue to attune with their voices in public ministry. Students develop vocal warmth, speaking dynamics, and clarity as we work with familiar texts. They explore breath in the moving body, vocal sensation and vibration, and engaged movement as they connect with their expressive spirits. Students explore creeds and prayers through this newfound awareness working towards embodied connections to them as they feel them in modes called “self-to-self” and “self-to-other.”
We dive into the questions: “What is my authentic purpose for my ministry and how can my organically-felt vocal dynamics deliver it?” and “How can I stay connected to the many facets of my authentic self as I work to inspire my listeners towards divine contemplation and community action?”
Melissa offers this workshop as a three-hour introduction to the process or a two-day intensive that goes more deeply into the topic for vocal development and refinement.
